Hi,

i installed it on the official raspberry pie 5 image with

sudo apt-get -y install cool-retro-term

It installed, it runs - but with extreme lag.
Like 20 second delay, until words appear.
Also deactivating all effects didn't made anything better.

I've read something about Open GL drivers?
But I don't know, what to try...

I use it on the Raspberry Pi 5 with Wayland (installation as described above). It works perfectly fine and very fast for me. Have you switched to X11? Try it on a fresh image and then check it step by step while you are modifying your system.
