Force a screen size, scaled to current window size so that one can get for example a 80x25 screen either stretched or with borders left and right. Make it so that folks can enter their own ideas of a good screen size.

I would throw 20€ into the hat for this feature.

The only way to achieve this is to play around in Settings, Terminal, Scaling and Font Width. Do you have any specal software that's limited to 80x25 and other resolutions like that?

In essence this would help with textmode gamedev. I am developing a dungeon crawler in ANSI and having a menu to set text screen sizes, like Gnome Terminal has, would be great.

I would love to see this implemented. Also, since the original terminal sizes are usually 4:3 while current screens are usually wider, it'd be nice if I could have a full screen terminal with additional "border" on the sides, so as to not stretch the fonts.
