I use a DisplayLink dock to hook up two monitors to my M1 macbook.
When I use the monitors the laptop lid is closed. At the end of the day I unplug the dock's USB cable, which makes the macbook go to sleep.
The next day I connect the dock's cable, opens the lid to unlock the laptop, when it's unlocked the DisplayLink software detect the monitors and starts to use the monitors. Then I close the lid and all the window moves to the monitors.
At this stage the CRT windows appears frozen, there's also some remnant of the previous frame of the terminal drawn, I think it is still responding to keyboard but the graphics is not updating. I'm not familiar with macOS programming but I guess the issue is with some graphics API.
