I use a Dvorak keyboard layout, so for example, the
,
key isw
and thew
key is,
. However, it looks like cool-retro-term looks like it's hooking directly into the keycodes for the basic alpha numeric stuff, but not for the other punctuation characters. So pressing
w
key results inw
, but pressing,
also results inw
.I have the same issue. I'd use this terminal emulator if it didn't have this bug!!
This sounds like it might be an issue with your desktop environment or window manager or something rather than CRT. I too use Dvorak and don't experience this problem on Arch Linux (5.14.12-arch1-1) running KDE (KWin in Plasma 5.23.1).
Or, maybe it's been fixed in the interim?
Same on my Mac.
This worked in previous versions (can't remember which). I can't get 1.0.0 running on my Mac now (sits at empty terminal), but I know it used to work. Revisited today hoping it was addressed. This emulator is the tops, crossing fingers it gets fixed or the change gets rolled back!
