When clicking a menubar elements, a submenu doesn't appear.

Me too, using latest Manjaro in Virtualbox. Enabling/Disabling 3D in VB has no influence.

Is there any way, besides the non-working gui-menu, to tell the app to start without any effects? The default is very slow on my virtual machine.

Although this problem does not affect me another one does that I suspect to be possibly related.
