Various visualization plugins/programs, like cava, and mpdviz are generated via a fifo from either alsa, mpd, or similar. I can imagine having various jitters and shakes being affected by a fifo making for quite a show. Bass drops, or someone taps the microphone, or whatever, and the screen jitters in response.

That's actually a good idea. Sadly at the moment I'm quite busy and my short term plan for CRT is to push out a 1.0 version. After that I will probably consider this and how to implement it. Thank you for the suggestion.
