Would be cool if something like this was possible: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2ywWFvjE-yU (1:15 in) ## <bountysource-plugin> --- Want to back this issue? **[Post a bounty on it!](https://www.bountysource.com/issues/5521863-alien-computer-terminal-theme?utm_campaign=plugin&utm_content=tracker%2F479407&utm_medium=issues&utm_source=github)** We accept bounties via [Bountysource](https://www.bountysource.com/?utm_campaign=plugin&utm_content=tracker%2F479407&utm_medium=issues&utm_source=github). </bountysource-plugin>

I think the final terminal sequence was redone in this video. This does not look like the original movie. In any case, it would be needed to find or build an adequate font. SIze variations, however, may not be that easy.

I'm sorry I completely missed this bug report. If you are talking about the effect you see at the end of the video that would not be hard to reproduce. The huge issue would be integrating it in a meaningful way in the terminal emulation itself (when and how to use it basically). The terminal has a solid base which I want to keep as close as possible to upstream to make it really useable (that's also why we can't have baud rate simulation at the moment). If you are talking about recreating the profile the only blocker would be, as @rbanffy was saying, the font. And yes, it is a really big blocker. It's really complex to find graphical artists ...

Yes, I am talking about the flash right to left effect at the end of the video. The font is Berthold City Light scaled to 200% of the normal width.

More info on the font here: http://typophile.com/node/60657
