Linux version: 3.11.10-301.fc20.x86_64, gcc 4.8.2

As in title:

  1. After compiling in Fedora, menu bar seems to be inactive, File Edit View Profiles Help won't open.
  2. In fullscreen mode terminal starts to lag.

Could it be that you never installed a single update? Current Fedora 20 kernel is 3.16.4.

Sorry to disappoint you, but OS was installed yesterday from latest Fedora 20 XFCE spin .iso release, 'yum update'd and given all standard drivers. Moreover, yum check-update gives no availble updates left. I shouldn't need do anything else to run the program.

If I need to manually upgrade the kernel, please note it in overview.

No idea why no updates are offered to you but you are running CRT on an outdated system with outdated drivers. https://admin.fedoraproject.org/updates/kernel proves that 3.16 is current on Fedora 20. If you are still on such an old kernel, chances are that you are also still on the old Mesa version.

I fixed the issue on my side, but unfortunately problems for cool-retro stayed the same.

Linux version 3.16.4-200.fc20.x86_64 (gcc version 4.8.3)
